This website was created as a final project for History 282: US Diplomatic History, Fall 2020 semester, at Dickinson College. It was based on a diplomatic profile paper written on Allen Dulles for the same course.
The goal of this website is to act as a teaching aid and collection of valuable information and documents related to Allen Dulles, a critical figure in the history of the Cold War and an important influence on the US Central Intelligence Agency. Dulles also presents an interesting case for examining historiographical approaches, and this website will hopefully help students to draw their own conclusions about Dulles's leadership and its impact. If you are interested in learning more about Allen Dulles, I encourage you to look for the biography Gentleman Spy and to also explore another Dickinson student's website about Dulles.
Jacob M. Kaufhold is the creator of this website. Images and sources are listed below in the "Bibliography and Credits" section. You can contact me with queries about the site at [email protected], or via my personal website.
